A cynical, decrepit, aging man driven to insanity
Unable to accept his ever-present fate
He knows his time is slipping, falling, diminishing
His mind begins to unravel
Within the folds is something maniacal
Something horrific, grotesque, unthinkable
Within his mind, Archaic Diabolical!
Plotting underneath the earth
Lines begin to connect
Something in his mind just went and fucking snapped
His eyes begin to redden as his anger explodes
His mind begins to unravel
Within the folds is something maniacal
Something horrific, grotesque, unthinkable
Within his mind, Archaic Diabolical!
Bloodrage, intense disarray
The walls are splattered and stained
A work of art, though sickening and dark
The knife now placed at his throat
(Solo - Rauch)
Bloodrage, intense disarray
The walls are splattered and stained
A work of art, though sickening and dark
The knife now placed at his throat
Thrust within which quiets the din
Of the thoughts bedeviling his mind

I can safely say that after jamming this album for 3 years, it is hands down my FAVORITE death metal album. I've never been able to pick a favorite before, but every single thing about this album is just perfection. Flawless production, god-level riffage, ride cymbal work that rings through to your bones, bass lines that perfectly accentuate the rhythm and the riffs, and of course HAIL MOLLUSCA Hatch
The songs are masterfully composed and flow together beautifully, and the orchestration is exactly how I want metal orchestration to sound: full, playable by a real orchestra, and just as important to the music as the vocals, drums, guitar, and bass are. tonycordeshimself
It is so good! there is definitely a dose of Opeth in this amazingness. Like if Opet was still going hard, but harder. Sexy progressive metal! DemiBeast
